Step oneThe first step is to get in touch!
There a several ways:
Call our office and speak to one of our knowledgeable Arborists
Whatsapp, for those on the move, who want to get a speedy reply
Email, perfect for more detailed enquiries.
Step twoSite visit
Usually, all tree works will require a site visit, whilst stump grinding can sometimes be quoted via picture sent to WhatsApp or Email.
We’ll arrange a time and date that’s convenient for all parties involved for a site visit, where we can assess the works and discuss your requirements. There we can take further photographs, assess hazards and check potential issues such as access, Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs)/ conservation areas, bird nests, bat habitat and other ecological constraints.
Once the site visit is complete, we’ll Email or post your quotation over to you for your review. All our quotations are written, for clarity and peace of mind. You will also have access to our terms and conditions and a copy of any relevant documents that you have requested.
What happens when I accept the quotation?
We will confirm that we have received your acceptance, then offer some suitable dates for the works to commence, (subject to planning and ecological restrictions). If there are any TPO’s (tree preservation orders or you are in a conservation area, we can apply on your behalf.
When do you start the works?
First any ecological and legislative constraints need to be considered. (For example, we would not like to remove a thick hedge in the middle of nesting season). We will agree with you a start date and approximate start time.
How do I pay?
Firstly, we do not accept payment upfront. Once the works are completed, we will send an invoice via email or post. On the invoice are our company banking details, you can transfer payment or pay cash – there is not ‘Cash discount’ -you will receive an invoice either way. We do not accept cheque.
Responded quickly and provided good value estimate. Agreed dates for work and both jobs (tree removed and hedge reduced) done as agreed, efficiently and professionally. Will be recommending to others.
Really good company, very reliable, came and removed quite a few stumps from our woodland very quickly and efficiently, and careful about not doing damage to the surrounding area. Highly recommended, we will use them again.
I would recommend this company to anyone they have just taken 7 large poplar trees down for us. Arrived as arranged, a pleasure to have in our garden for several days, then left the site neat and tidy.
A great company and excellent service, they were brilliant from quote to completion and would definitely use again!
Very impressed with Dr Stump; quick, professional, courteous, tidy and VERY good at what they do! – Very impressed with the way they work and the amount they can get done in a short time. – Highly recommended.
